Conversation circle: Identity and sense of belonging

Description

In November, we’ll be joined by an expert guest to help facilitate our conversation about the genocide against the Rohingya and the resulting humanitarian crisis. We’ll focus specifically on what happens to a person’s identity and sense of belonging when people are persecuted and forced to leave their homes, communities and ways of life behind.

Part of this program will take place in the exhibition space where powerful photographs and testimonials associated with each session’s topic will be examined and discussed together.

Everyone is welcome to participate and no background knowledge is required.

Connect with others to learn, get motivated, share thoughts and generate ideas for action to protect human rights.

When: Friday, November 1, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Location: Meet at Group Entrance, Level 1, Canadian Museum for Human Rights
Cost: Free ticket required

All of the Conversation Circle event listings can be found by visiting the Conversation Circles program page.
